During the full renovation of Flat 10, we were fortunate enough to meet Mr & Mrs Barker, who kindly offered us the use of their garage for the project duration. They also, it transpired, had seen our previous work in the block and this had galvanized them into thinking about a similar program of works to their property. Again, living out of the area, Tim & Alison needed someone to manage their project that they could trust to achieve the same exacting standards Tim works to with his kitchen fitting business. The same, high level of finish was produced as with the previous properties worked on in the block, including a replication of heating and hot water solutions. The result, another fabulous seaside bolthole and more happy clients!

Following recommendation, Mr & Mrs Pritchard approached us to tackle the refurbishment of their newly acquired holiday home in Poole. Nestled within the heart of the acclaimed Sandbanks Peninsular, “Fairwinds” was bought as a bolthole to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life in South Wales. Having sustained a long standing leak in the kitchen, and some somewhat spurious “DIY” attempts the property was in a sorry state, requiring immediate attention.
A new metal frame ceiling throughout enabled a full electrical re-wire, inset spotlights together with acoustic insulation. The old hot water cylinder was replaced with a pressurized “megaflow” cylinder providing a far superior hot water system & with no gas in the block, this was a crucial upgrade, allowing for the installation of the new power shower. The fully tiled bathroom benefits from a newly constructed boiler cupboard & large step in shower area. The rest of the flat is fully re-plastered with all new skirting & architrave and light oak finished doors to complement. Also with absolutely no air extraction from either the kitchen or bathroom, new outside ducting is concealed within the ceiling void – essential, we believe, for open plan living. Night storage heaters are replaced with the client’s desire for low profile under floor heating throughout & with a neatly designed kitchen & breakfast bar, it makes this the perfect weekend retreat by the sea.


Our flat has been in need of updating for some time and we had deliberated how best to approach this living away from the area. We met Nick Turner almost by chance as he was making a few finishing touches to the flat next door. We had a tour of the flat and were thoroughly impressed by the quality of work and attention to detail. We had no hesitation in asking William Bowley to  project manage a complete refurbishment of our flat. We have at all times been given full information and regular updates. The project was completed in the expected time frame and there were no added extras that we hadn't asked for - and these were fairly priced with no nasty surprises. Everybody who worked on our project were pleasant, professional and worked to a high standard. We are delighted with the finished project. Friends and relatives have been truly amazed at what they see. We would not hesitate in recommending William Bowley to you.
